PAI Welcomes Dr. Yamanaka, Director of Operations, Japan
Division
PAI is pleased
to announce that Dr. Naoki Yamanaka has joined the company as Director of
Operations for its Japan division. Dr. Yamanaka will be responsible for
focussing on supporting our clients with existing and potential projects and
expanding our presence within the Asian transportation market.
Dr. Yamanaka
brings over thirty years of engineering experience to PAI. His areas of
specialty include project, procurement and engineering oversight management for
the overseas total transit system market and prior to that systems engineering
in the Japanese ship manufacturing industry. You may contact Dr. Yamanaka

Scope of Work: |
PAI Associates act as both generalists and specialists
depending on the needs of the project. We have Associates with experience in
many areas of transit including RAMS, Quality Assurance, Software, Project
Management and Manuals and Training, Testing, EMC/EMI, Maintenance Planning and
Procurement.
Typically,
PAI assists in the
preparation
and/or review of CDRLs (design documents, test procedures), contract
administration, maintenance planning, verification and validation, manual
preparation and delivery of training and scheduling. |

Robert Tolley – Taiwan High Speed Rail Project (2004 -
present)
Mr. Tolley has supported Toshiba on various international
projects in New York, the Philippines and Taiwan since 2002. In particular he
has been working on the Taiwan High Speed Rail project on site in Taiwan since
2003. Mr. Tolley has prepared course material for both operations and
maintenance personnel, and has participated in the delivery of training in
Taiwan. As well, he has reviewed and prepared design documentation and test
procedures. Mr. Tolley has also supported Toshiba with the maintenance of the
Verification and Validation database for this project.
Toshiba has appreciated the calibre of Mr. Tolley’s project
engineering support over the past 5 years and will continue to request PAI’s
services on other international projects.
Gary Waliczek – Taiwan High Speed Rail Project (2003 – 2006)
Mr. Waliczek
worked for Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd. (KHI) on the Taiwan High Speed Rail
project for three years. Mr. Waliczek worked on site in Hyogo Works, Japan as
well as in Taiwan for delivery of training. He supported KHI with preparation
and review of design documentation and test procedures, prepared and reviewed
manuals and delivered equipment training. As requested, Mr. Waliczek also
provided contract administration support and was Assistant Quality Assurance
Manager for this project. |
